2025 Student Summer Preview

We have SO many things in store for your students this summer! Below, we will define each of the program and events.

LUG HANGS:
LUG Hangs are fun, invitational events for middle schoolers (and their friends!!!) held throughout the summer on the church campus. We play crazy games, bring in fun things like inflatables, dunk tanks or laser tag, learn about God and worship together. These events happen monthly May – July (5/14, 6/17, 7/16). Registration is not required.

SBOTS:
SBOTS is our annual High School Student Leader Retreat designed just for students currently in grades 8-12 who desire to grow their relationship with the Lord and also develop key leadership skills. We travel to Laguna Beach, FL for an intentional time away filled with worship, teaching, small group discussion and tons of fun along the way! This year’s trip will take place May 23-26. This trip requires an application and interview process in order to be considered.

MASTERPIECE:
Masterpiece is a summer program held on Wednesday nights in June (beginning 6/4) at the Grace Village in Clarkston. Middle and high school students are invited to learn creative skills in areas like photography, mixed media, and CrossFit as they learn more about themselves through the journey. Students in rising 6th through completed 12th grade (and their parents!!) are encouraged to register.

MOTHER + DAUGHTER / FATHER + SON BIBLE STUDIES:
We invite you AND your son or daughter to participate in our Summer Bible Studies beginning the week of June 8th! HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENTS:
Each summer, we host several tournaments for our high schoolers that serve as perfect events to invite friends!! We have been blown away by the number of friends who start attending church because they were first invited to participate in one of our summer tournaments. We will host a Volleyball Tournament the evening of June 9th (7-8:30pm) and a Pickleball Tournament at a date TBA in July.

SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL HOUSE CHURCH:
Every Monday night, high schoolers come together for games, worship and teaching at the D-House from 7-8:30pm. The night is student-led, which is so awesome to witness and is the perfect space to invite a friend curious about God. High School House Church will kick-off on Monday 6/9 with our Annual Volleyball Tournament and will continue weekly through June and July. Registration is not required.

EMPOWER PARENTING WORKSHOP:
This workshop coming up June 17th from 6-7:30pm is designed just for parents of middle schoolers or those preparing for the middle school years. During our time together, we will hear from a panel of experienced parents as they share wisdom on the things they learned in the middle school chapter of their parenting journey, along with recommended tools and resources. This session will run concurrently to the LUG Hang happening the same night on the Front Lawn. Be on the lookout for a link to register.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MISSIONS TRIP TO CLARKSTON:
Grace Student Ministries and Grace 360 are partnering with the Grace Village in Clarkston, GA for a domestic trip coming up July 7-10. On this trip, middle school students (completed 6th – 8th grade students) will have the opportunity to learn about God’s heart for the nations and the refugee resettlement process, as well as experience aspects of some of the cultures represented in Clarkston. They will serve alongside various ministries like Friends of Refugees that provide free and low cost services to refugees who have been resettled in the area. This is a chance to extend God’s Kingdom by serving the ministries and refugee residents of Clarkston! An application and interview are required. See below for details.
