In 1 Peter 2:12, we find the following statement: “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God.”

But what is the good life? Answering that age-old question is the subject of the letter. How do we follow Jesus well in every area of life—from our identity, community, and calling to our work, family, marriage, church leadership structures, spiritual warfare, and societal justice. Throughout, Peter calls us back to the cross of Christ, not only as the means of our salvation but also as the model for living the truly good life.
